Ah, the cleaning out of the fridge after all the holiday stuff was stuffed into it. There are always ingredients leftover from stuff I meant to make. This one proved to be a nice, albeit calorie laden, snack as well as an horderves recipe. It’s adapted from a recipe on http://www.kraftfoods.com.
Bacon Stuffed Crescent Rolls
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
Dash garlic salt
¼ tsp. Italian seasoning
4 slices bacon, cooked and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
Preheat the oven to 375°.
Mix the cream cheese, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl.
Unroll the can of dough and separate it into eight triangles. On the large part of the triangle, place a piece of bacon and about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mix on each triangle of dough. Starting at the largest end, roll the crescent into a croissant shape. Place the crescent on an ungreased cookie sheet. Repeat with the remaining triangles.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy warm, at room temperature, or cold when you’re too lazy to fix real food. Enjoy!
