Not Quite Ranch

Not Quite RanchWhat happened to Thursday? There I was bumping along in my week and all of a sudden it was Friday; although, now it’s technically Saturday. Ah well.

I was hoping this recipe would be close to a buttermilk ranch, it’s not. It’s far too tangy to qualify for any kind of ranch. It does have quite a punch though that will wake up your palette. It’s important to pair it will strong veggies, this ain’t no iceberg lettuce dressing. It’s fairly thick, so it also makes a nice dip.

Not Quite Ranch

1 cup sour cream or yogurt
2/3 cup buttermilk
2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
½ tsp. dried Parsley
¼ tsp.  onion powder
¼ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. salt
black pepper to taste (I used about 1/8 tsp.)

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl. The dressing can be used right away but will be better the next day. Enjoy!
